Substance Abuse Education “Choice & Change”. Pilot Program facilitator. Program resulted in lowering drug activity in inmate population and success recognized by inmates’ families. Positive urinalysis numbers fell by 55%.
Cognitive Restructuring and Life Planning. Pilot Program facilitator and one-on-one counselor for 50 inmates per cycle. This program had an intangible effect on how inmates behaved daily in communal living areas i.e., less fighting, less political activity and more inmate-led programs.
Go Further Community Re-Entry Preparation Program. Program facilitator and group counselor for the comprehensive treatment of offenders in prison. This program exceeded its goals in completed classes, journals, graduated participants and ultimately passed by the Senate this year as a Major Incentivized program a process of which I was a part.

Service caseload of 360 adult male inmates work and program supervision. Accomplished inmates’ care through classification, work levels, corrections plans, PREA interviews, emergency contacts, legal calls, family contacts, medical acknowledgement rights, new intake orientation, daily in-office appointments, arranging resources, including transportation and escorts, release home plans, program facilitation, prepares reports, attend staffing to report on inmates’ progress.
CCA Red Rock Correctional Center Substance Abuse Education Program Facilitator
2014 – 2015
Provide drug and alcohol counseling sessions for inmates with drug addiction, possession, and promotion of illegal substances charges, monitor random urinalysis results, treatment planning, handled daily case notes. Scheduled weekly classes for residential and outpatient care, improved and modified treatment programs to successfully meet the needs of inmates in the program. Achieved success with a high rate of graduates in a first-time program and surpassed expectations to lower recidivism.
