Promotion from Building Inspector. Review all building plans for residential and commercial projects to ensure compliance with the International Building Code. Perform all inspections related to construction projects from start to finish. Ensure that all projects follow the zoning bylaws of the community in which they were established. Review all real estate development documentation pertaining to any development project, within the constraints of the town. Provide annual inspections of all public facilities to ensure and maintain public safety. Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other specialists on assessing the structural integrity of buildings for both construction and public safety reasons. Establish a relationship with other town officials, as well as members of the community to address any concerns and support completion of construction projects.
