Lower Zakum Field is in the central part of the Arabian Gulf at about 65 km NW of Abu Dhabi town and 100 km to the East-South-East of Das Island. The field was discovered in July 1963 and the crude oil production started in November 1967. Zakum field consists of approximately 118 Wellhead Towers hosting oil producers, gas injectors and water injectors.

The facilities in this greenfield project is fully automated / unmanned, which includes Production wells, Water source wells, Water injection system, Water disposal wells, Multiport Selector Manifold, Export Pipeline (with permanent pigging facilities) from Haliba Central Gathering Facilities to ADCO ASAB CDS including all tie-ins, 132kV Overhead Line (OHL). The utility systems and associated infrastructure will be developed to support Haliba facilities.
