Study/Review of tender documents scope of work, drawing, BOQ, specifications, client requirements, terms & conditions etc. from the tender documents for proper estimating works

Preparing enquiry review sheet and calculate approx. value of tender projects for managements review

Preparing technical queries for ambiguities in drawing, specification and BOQ

List out and segregate the Qty’s based on Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) standards

Prepare the Qty takeoff sheet as per the standard measurements (Principle of measurements (POMI) & New Rules of Measurement (NRM-2))

Prepare and send RFQ for all the items to all approved equal suppliers/sub-contractors to obtain required quotations

Estimate & Plan the projects based on New Rules of Measurement (NRM-1) standards

Pricing material and labor cost of each BOQ item in the price comparison sheet by using the quotation and a pre-determined manpower production rate

Preparing BOQ unit prices as per tender BOQ format and filling

Preparing Qualification, Assumption and Exclusions and proposed vendor list as applicable

Preparing pre-bid risk evaluation of the project for final submission POST-TENDER:

Review & Assessment the Interim Payment Application (IPA) prior to submit IPC

Prepare detailed claims for payment in accordance with the conditions of contract ensuring all claims are fully documented with supporting details

Evaluate and interpret main contract, subcontract and supply conditions and obligations and advise management and project team on liabilities and risks under the contractual arrangements

Cost control techniques: Labor rate analysis and Material cost monitoring and controlling and earned value management reports

Prepare value engineering (VE), when required/permitted, to ensures the owner is not over-paying for quality when an equally effective, less expensive option exists

Identifying and handling variations & additional works based on Engineering Instruction (EI)

Prepare the Qty takeoff sheet as per the standard measurements (Principle of measurements (POMI))

Preparation, Evaluation and Negotiation of Contractual claims and Counter claims

Monitor the implementation of the variation procedures in line with the contract requirements ensuring that all variations are accurately estimated, authorized & processed with any relevant supporting documentation

Accurate Bill of Quantities and perform quantity cross checks
