I was an occupational therapy assistant. I assisted with ADL such as self feeding, bathing toileting using AE as needed etc, splinting, wheel chair modications, IADL such as independent tasks such as medication management, bed making, cooking cleaning, executive functioning, etc. BUE strengthening and ROM through using theraband, therabars, without resustance, Omnicycle, HEP and etc. This COTA/l assisted with tasks to increase balance, decrease fall risk,etc on even and uneven surfaces with gait belt and with and without AD. COTA/l was responsible for daily documenting on the computer. I assisted with room modifications to increase safety and decrease fall risk. I assisted with training restorative and CNA staff for transfers with gait belt, current ADL status, and exercises to maintain strength upon discharge from therapy,etc. Jun 2011 - May 2013

I saw residents in their residents, community through taking them to the store, appointments, shopping, attending college courses etc, and in the building where COTA/l focused on tasks such as cooking, executive functioning through computer tasks, lead exercise groups and therex/ theracts with therabars/dumbbells/ without resistance and tasks while in standing to discuss fall risk with gait belt with and without AD. This COTA/l assisted in residence with increasing independence ADL such as bathing toileting self feeding via AE /AD and assisting with tasks such as creating schedules with residents for completing showers with rewards as needed for behavior modifications, creating a weekly menu for cooking their dinners through the microwave/ store/ cold prep to decrease behaviors, increase safety, etc. daily and weekly documentation via computer. Attending IDT meetings to discuss progress with daily caseload of 8 residents. Therapist main focus was seeing residents bwith TBI. I
