HEMATOPATHOLOGY

1. Conducting and maintaining the best quality standards of the cell counters by regular calibration of the software and hardware, hereby providing best precise results.

2. Finely skilled with all the smearing, staining and sample processing techniques and so the ability to guide the auxillary staff for the same to maintain the quality control. 3. Ability to perform almost all the routine hematological investigations manually to ensure the corrected results of the complex cases.

4. Ability to perform entire peripheral smear examination for anemia typing from sample collection to report dispatching.

5. Ability to perform Reticulocyte count and corrected count examinations.

6. Ability to perform and conduct the peripheral blood and other relevant examinations for the identification, follow up, staging, grading and other work ups of all the hematological malignancies.

7. Ability to conduct all the screening and confirmatory tests for the entire spectrum of hemoglobinopathies ie. Ability to report chromatography results.

8. Assisting bone marrow aspiration procedure and able to report bone marrow examination and bone marrow biopsies independently.

9. Ability to conduct and ensure accuracy of the

coagulation studies results.

10. Ability to perform perl's staining for iron studies and other iron study investigations.

CYTOPATHOLOGY

1. Ability to perform fine needle aspiration procedure independently on breast, lymph nodes, thyroid, neck swelling, any soft tissue swelling and other tissues requisited for FNA reporting.

2. Thorough knowledge and proficiency to conduct

sample collection, smearing, processing and reporting the cytopathology test results.

3. Ability to preserve, process and report the PAP smear cytology as per the latest reporting guidelines. HISTOPATHOLOGY

1. Proper handling and record keeping of the

histology samples and reports.

2. Thorough knowledge and proficiency to conduct

fixation of the smaller biopsies according to the

tissue type.

3. Thorough knowledge, skill and experience to

perform grossing of various specimens of

mastectomies, mass excisions, colectomies,

hysterectomies and other tissue specimens excised

for histopathological examination

4. Ability to conduct and supervise complete tissue processing including fixation, grossing, sectioning, microtomy and staining.

5. Ability to execute elaborate histopathological

reporting diagnosing, typing, staging and grading the pathology and disease progression.

6. Ability to conduct various special staining

procedures for better reporting and diagnosis such as PAS, Mucicarmine etc.

7. Substantial knowledge of immunohistochemical

techniques and reporting.

URINALYSIS

Ability to conduct and perform the entire set of

urine investigations including the recent automation advancements and manual testing procedures for a

better precision.

4. Ability to receive and process the body fluid

cytology samples and thereafter examining and

reporting them for malignant changes.

5. Ability to perform special staining procedures on cytology samples like ZN staining, PAS staining,

silver staining and others.

6. Ability to report radiology guided aspiration

samples for cytology.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

1. Part of the organising committee for APCON

2017 and IAP-ID 2017 held at Gandhi medical

college, Bhopal. Actively participated in a wide

range of chores from organising the academic

sessions to managing miscellaneous aspects of the

national/international conference.

2. Practicing theatre since around 15 years

working as an actor, writer and musician, being

the managing director of a theatre organisation

"Karmarang".

3. Working as a professional writer in different

streams of writing such as poetry, short stories,

dramatic adaptations, screenplays and cinema

blogs.

4. Acted in a couple of widely popular short films streaming on YouTube.
