EXPERIENCE

Varsity High School Volleyball Team Captain (2017-2019)

Arranged carpools and transportation to the games, made sure everyone showed up to practice ready and on time. I set up practice games with other schools and arranged the senior night. On several occasions I drove people home and to away games.

Poolesville Robotics Team (2017-2019)

I was a member of Team 4099, and I worked in the mechanical and electrical sub teams. For the mechanical subteam, I assisted in the building of the robot chassis and for the electrical subteam, I worked with pneumatics, wires, and other electronics to power the robot for the FIRST competition in May of 2017. I also helped to build the training platform on which the robot was tested and first performed tasks on.

Poolesville Red Cross Club (2017-2019)

The goal of the club is to provide volunteering opportunities made available by the Red Cross organization. We meet twice a month to discuss and arrange meetings for volunteer jobs and blood donations. I volunteered at and helped organize two blood drives hosted at Poolesville High School (I also donated at both)

Poolesville High School Water Club Founder and Treasurer (2018-2019)

We worked to fundraise and donate money to organizations that distribute clean and healthy drinking water to third world countries through water.org and crowdfunding. We raised over $700 through crowdfunding, bake sales, and setting up stations at school events like plays and basketball games where people can donate. We used this money to donate LifeStraws and help build wells for drinking water in Nigeria, so that the people there can have a sustained source of clean water. This club was founded in my senior year of high school, and so we focused on passing on leadership and responsibilities to the junior students.

University of Maryland Summer Internship (Summer of 2018)

I worked with Dr. Romel Gomez, who helped learn more about computer and electrical engineering through practical projects. Because of this internship, I learned more about hardware like the Arduino Uno and learned to code in a very similar language to C++
