RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES

Administrative

• Developing, managing, monitoring and maintaining Saindak Open-Pit Mine infrastructure.

• To organize the department to best suits the working environment of the Section, Department, and Company as a whole.

• To ensure effective management and administrative control of Section personnel.

• To provide conductive work-environment for the Section personnel and to keep close co-ordination with the staff at all levels.

• To plan and control the leave and overtime of Section personnel and ensure its proper recording.

• To approve weekly schedule/roster for the shift staff.

• To develop adequate coordination with other departments of the company.

• To manage the technical and administrative affairs of the Section.

• Developing adequate coordination amongst Section and Open Pit Transport Maintenance (OPTM) for timely and prompt repair/maintenance of Mining equipment’s.

• To provide guidelines/advice regarding Open Pit Mine Operations.

• To maintain close liaison with Central Dispatch.

• To receive policies/directions from Chinese Director (Mining) for implementation at the Sections.

• To see that adequate environment/facilities exist for smooth and timely execution of Department’s works.

Technical/Professional

• Planning, Design, & Development of Open Pit Mine Benches & Access Roads with Chinese Engineers.

• Responsible for blending i.e. low grade and high grade to obtain the desired grade of ore.

• To supervise shifting of explosive and accessories from magazine to blasting site with all safety measures.

• To perform largest scale blasting work in Pakistan with Chinese Blasting Engineers.

• To oversee that all areas of the Department smoothly and efficiently.

• Organizing and ensuring operation of Ore and Waste.

• To monitor all operations/functions at Open Pit Mine with a view to achieve raw material as per requirement by Production Department.

• To check and Control drilling/ blasting operation & fragmentation size to maintain most economical open Pit Mine operation.

• To provide services of survey work by using latest survey instruments (total station)

• To Exercise specific vigilance on safety of men and machinery.

• To Prepare, Check, maintain and forward to Director Chinese (Mining) the following: -

Open Pit Mine work plan/maps and updating.

Mining operational cost and KPIs.

Daily Production Report.

Daily Open Pit Mine Inspection report.

Limestone Quarries blasting record.

Daily Limestone Quarries Progress report.

Fortnightly & monthly explosive consumption report.

• To ensure implementation of all applicable policies and procedures related to Section.

• To Prepare / Check different reports to different Govt. Depts., Agencies.

• To participate in all meetings as In charge of Section/Mining department on as required basis.

• To participate and present the performance/progress of Section in meetings on monthly/annual basis.
