April 2000-Current - A certified SKYWARN storm spotter.
January 2014-May 2018- Member of the American Meteorological Society Chapter at Texas Tech, where we focused mainly on outreach events to help educate the public on severe weather. Member of VOST, an organization that uses social media to help the National Weather Service with storm reports. Attended the American Meteorological Society conference in 2016 and then again in 2018. During this time, I was also a volunteer at the National Weather Service office in Lubbock, TX.
May 2015 – Current – Create content for Instagram accounts for pop culture and fandoms. One of which has over 9,000 followers and counting. I also have two YouTube channels. One for my collections and books and the other for my tornado/storm chasing content.
August 2016 – May 2017 – Completed a project that was advised by Dr. Johannes Dahl from the Atmospheric Science department at Texas Tech University. It involved me learning some light computer coding and manipulating data, provided by the Civil Engineering Department at Texas Tech, to model the velocities inside of a tornado simulator.
March 2018-August 2019- Provided services for a tornado history website called “Tornado Talk”. My role was helping build a database of every tornado ever documented.
