This product was the very first commercially available cockpit surveillance system and is in use today on over 50,000 commercial aircraft. Senior Consultant for Title and Escrow Company – First American Title Lead architect for product deployment and site-readiness studies involving advanced monitoring, analysis and correction of performance and reliability issues. Performed nationwide site-readiness studies prior to application rollout to identify and correct all issues that prohibited application performance from meeting the stated service level agreements. Project lead and architect on numerous key application functions and frameworks for a high-volume web-based title and escrow order processing system. This product has been in production for over 15 years. Application development involved various programming languages including VB, ASP, ASP.Net, Java, JavaScript, HTML, C++, C# and SQL. Major design areas include:
• OLTP database design to support high-performance data retrieval and persistence methods for an object-oriented based business-object framework. Developed ERD models using simplified design patterns that facilitated the development of a generator utility to produce stored procedures for Select, Update and Delete operations based on the relationships maintained in the sysobjects metabase. This allowed the database to stay in-sync with rapidly changing business-object requirements and designs.
• Data access controls to standardize connection management, logging, exception handling, retrieval and persistence of business-objects and collections. This design provided the single entry point to the database and provided a layer of abstraction to deal with the intricacies of the ADO API, transaction management and resource management.
• Asynchronous messaging framework using MSMQ to provide XML data interchange for document delivery, starter policy and title search requests. This same technology is used to originate orders, exchange status, and deliver finished product documents between inter-division business application systems.
• Web-based document delivery engine that allows users to render documents in multiple output formats, and deliver them via email, fax or printed directly to the workstation connected printer(s). This technology provides the single delivery architecture used by all components in the system.
• Document rendering framework for generating complex escrow financial documents including the HUD-1, closing statement, invoice, and escrow balance sheet. This technology additionally included security enhancements for generation and issuance of deposits and check disbursements.
• Web-based imaging solution for document scanning, indexing, storage and retrieval. This technology enabled the business to realize a paperless workflow and eliminate the cost of warehousing and retrieving paper files. Salient Corporation Long Beach, Calif.
