I have been working as a Quantity Surveyor for a total of 18 years of experience which include 15 years in Malaysia and 3 years in United Kingdom, with BSc. (Hons) Quantity Surveying from University of Salford, UK. I have been working with contract range from pre-contract to post- contract duties on various types of projects which include preparation of project estimation, including bill of quantities and MEP Works. I am expert in taking off from drawing, physical measurement on site, progress monitoring and reporting, defect checking and coordination on rectification work, subcontract payment recommendation, project claim to client and project final account. - Attended Primavera course to assist in doing project planning for this specific project.
- Taking off quantity (MEP item), i.e. ducting, fuse board, lighting points for variation works claim, based on the Site Instruction by the Client. Using cad software for measurement and crosscheck manually with drawing.
5. 1st January 2000 – 31st July 2004 : Site Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Jayarena Construction Sdn. Bhd. Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
a) Project – Construction and Completion of the Proposed Hospital Sultan Ismail (304 beds), Pandan, Johor Bahru. Contract sum MYR 101,000,000.00
- My involvement with the project started from the architecture stage where most of the structural work was nearly completed.
- Supervise a practical QS student doing measurement / taking off using related software for few packages at later stage.
- Re-measurement / taking off works prepared the actual quantity based on the construction drawings as the work proceeded. The duties involved preparation of Sub-Contractor and specialist Sub-Contractor claims.
- Preparation of final accounts for the Sub-Contractors when the work completed.
b) Project – Construction and Completion of the Tapah Prison for the Government of Malaysia. Contract sum MYR

- Taking off works for costing and material purchasing purposes and cost control during tender stage which majorly measurements for the structural work.
c) Project – Proposed Development of 313 Unit 2 Storey Terrace House in the subprecinct 14-4 & 14-5, Precinct 14, Putrajaya. Contract sum MYR 47,632,379.11
- Work involved including Taking off / measurement for material to physical work done at site to make sure any wastage is within the allocated percentage. (Cost Control)
- My responsibility was preparing the actual quantity based on the construction drawing from sub-structure work as the work proceeds. The duties involved preparation of the Sub- Contractor, Supplier claims and claim to the Client. 6. 1st August 1997 – 31st December 1999 : Assistant QS, Tuatec Sdn. Bhd. Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia

- My involvement with the project started from tender stage.
- - Taking off quantity based on the tender drawing for the infra and building work. For the track siding work done by the specialist contractor recommended by the KTMB. Apart of the QS worked, my duties involved part of surveying and supervising work.
