This including manually checking samples into the computer, proper centrifuging of samples, aliquoting samples, shipping samples at proper temperature to outside labs, and delivering the appropriate samples to chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology, and pathology. After processing for 3 months I then went back to drawing blood. I worked morning rounds in an inpatient environment doing 4550 draws per day.
