Managed all aspects of three private fleet locations in Florida, which consisted of 86 drivers, a maintenance shop, 54 tractors, 273 trailers, 5 yard tractors, converter dollies, a straight truck and box vans. Directed 764 store deliveries per week in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Managed a $4.1 MM expense budget with full P & L and capital budget responsibility. Responsible for DOT Qualification Files and DOT logs for the entire company 263 Drivers and 9 locations.

Chosen to participate in “Best Highway Safety Practices” study by the US Department of Transportation, which benchmarked safety practices utilizing the safest companies.

Exceeded $1.3 MM in backhaul revenue, which was the best in the company.

Benchmarked Private Fleet vs. Third Party Fleet for reduced costs, and obtained the lowest cost per mile in the company.

Served as Back-up for our Clearwater Based Distribution Center Manager.

Held 2 local Truck Driving Championships annually and sent the winners to the State Truck Driving Championships, and on 3 occasions had drivers win the State Championships and represent our company at the National Truck Driving Championships.

Optimized the cross-docking operations from 5 Distribution Centers, in 3 Florida locations, started up the running of double trailers from Orlando to South Florida, and closing our Distribution Center in South Florida, saving over $2.1 MM per year.

Developed and conducted associate meetings in the areas of affirmative action, diversity, safety in the workplace, handling the irate store manager, United Way campaign, and introduction of all new operational procedures and new policies.
