MINOR PROJECT

Project Title: Study of Nano composite based Pour Point Depressant for Waxy Crude oil.

Duration: August 2019- May 2020

Learning Outcome: To get an idea about process of pipeline containing waxy crude

oil after shutdown, the rheological properties of oil, including viscosity, yield stress and thixotropy isis determined.

●Task - Indian waxy crude oil as the model oil and synthesize the new nanomaterial-based pour point depressant (Nano-composites) and evaluate the performance of newly synthesized Nano-composites Pour point depressant, also compares its performance with different traditional PPDs and other nanocomposites.

●Action - In this work, we were considering the Indian waxy crude oil as the model oil and synthesize the partially hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide (PHPA) / Silica as the nano-composite and thereafter, evaluated the performance of this newly synthesized Nano- composite Pour point depressant.

●Result - we hot to know that Physico-chemical characteristics like pour point, cloud point, API etc. of Indian heavy/waxy crude oil samples like water content of crude oil came to be 1% with high pour point. The determination of physio-chemical parameter and reheological studies are the main tools for characterization of crude oil for flow assurance. Flow assurance involves safe and efficient delivery of hydrocarbon from the well to the collection facilities the various studies carried out on the crude oil.

MAJOR PROJECT

Project Title : Designing of LCNG Station

Duration : august 2020- may 2021

Learning Outcome : we learned about Designing of LNG network till vaishali and finding the best design/approach for LNG stations and to perform LNG economic analysis.

●Task - Setting up a network till vaishali a city Gate Station is installed at Patna which is capable of LNG Regasification, LNG dispensing, LCNG cascade filling and LNG cascade filling.

●Action - LNG is transported from Dhamra terminal to Patna which is a town 30 km before vaishali. And done the economic analysis for this.

●Result - Our virtual network which regasified the LNG to piped natural gas solved the problem of delay of three years which was due to the unavailability of main transmission pipeline near Vashali.

ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP PPROJECT

Project Title : Review on gas absorption model on

CBM reservoir.

Duration : 1st may 2020-15 june 2020

Learning outcome : we were learning about that it is critical to analyze the adsorption characteristics to accurately estimate the storage capacity. There have been various models created to understand the relation of gas content or gas volume with different reservoir pressures.

●Task - The isotherm theory is usually used to explain adsorption characteristics an adsorption isotherm shows the relationship between the adsorbed volume and the pressure when the adsorption equilibrium occurs at a specific temperature.

●Action- we studied the different adsorption models that have been used previously and give a conclusion onto which adsorption model is optimum for producing more gas content at a given reservoir pressure.

●Result - we had briefly discuss about the various adsorption models that we had review.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Internship company : LNG consultancy firm

Internship Topic : LNG storage at satellite station on Consumer point.

Duration : may 2020- august 2020

Learning outcome : How to design an LNG storage tank at satellite Stations and types of lng storage tank and their properties.

●Task - To design an lng storage tanktank at satellite station.

●Action -Lng that has been converted to liquid form for ease and safety of non-pressurized storage or transport. The liquefaction process involves removal of certain components, such as dust, acid gases, helium, water, and heavy hydrocarbons, which could cause difficulty downstream.

●Result - Many design codes combined to design storage tank of liquified natural gas in efficient way to reduce the energy losses. The designed tank is competent to store liquified natural gas with capacity up to 200000 m3. This work introduced efficient chooses based on different design codes to design the tank.
