WORK EXPERIENCE/ INTERNSHIP

1. Skyzone group technical services (August 2020- today) Junior electrical engineer.

While working, focused at providing of specialized support services to both field-based customers and those in the manufacturing environment. My responsibilities varied from

• Designing and developing of new control systems and electronic systems

• Testing, maintaining and modifying of existing systems.

• Installation, calibration and maintenance of PLC controlled components and systems

• Supporting production/ testing control issues with our contract manufacturers working in manufacturing environments.

• Hands on management and support of in field installs of solar and battery storage products at customer sites.

• Design, sizing and installation of new solar and battery storage system

• Conducting and documenting comprehensive in-house testing of solar and battery bank systems

• Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant regulatory authorities

• Providing advice and consultancy support

• Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant HSE regulations and standards. 2. Uganda Breweries limited (May-August 2018 & June- August 2017) Electrical intern

I worked hand in hand with my seniors and supervisor and where I did design, developing, installing, managing and maintenance of control systems, machinery and processes. Below are some tasks I performed,

• Worked closely with instrumentation engineer to do calibration of measuring instruments.

• With the guidance of shift engineer, performed troubleshooting, fault finding and maintenance of electrical systems i.e., motors, sensors etc.

• I performed risk assessments, safety audits and ensure that permit to work is updated.

• Analyzed and assisted in developing approaches to meet reliability, performance and costs

• Carry out routine inspection to identify risks, raise alarm and make suggestions to modify processes.

• Prepare maintenance plans, open work orders and ensure completed work orders are updated in SAP system.
