Astromics – EADS – THALES – Racal Instruments Irvine, CA December 1990 – May 2019 Electronic Mechanic Assembler
Worked on government contracts to fabricate military equipment, aerospace equipment for national defense, wired units using a schematic, consisting of wiring 40 rectangular and circular connectors at different points, also to different relays and PC boards, used soldering iron, electric screwdriver, air screwdriver, heat gun, crimping tool, dental tool, tweezers, pliers, needle nose pliers, electric drill, impact wrench, and auto mechanical tools, microscope and magnifier, also fabricated military cables and harnesses, we received the kits and were required to build it ourselves, these kits contained connectors, terminals, solder sleeves, insertion and extraction tool
Lead PC Board Assembler
I was designated to work in the PC board department where I received PC Board kits and was required to inspect all boards for any blisters or delamination and instructed the workers to confirm all parts were included in the kit, some kits were sent to SMD for surface mount assembly and returned to me to complete the final assembly, I also instructed the workers on preparing the electronic component such as putting the resistor, dial, transistor, integral circuit (IC), relay, etc. After they were completed assembling the board I would flow the boards on the flow soder machine so that all of the components would be soddered. After this process I would continue checking for blisters or delamination before and after washing it and once complete send to our touch up department, During downtime I would work in the stock room to pull the items needed to prepare the PC Board kits or mechanical kits and I would also assist the shipping and receiving areas to package the units as well as lift these units with either electric hoist or manually, I would also work in the machine shop and would assist doing various tasks like cutting metal, drilling, sanding, etc. Also received safety training monthly to avoid accidents Tektronics Carson, CA Approx. 1988- 1989
