Completed research, using current patient population, to select high- risk cardiac patients, using the AHA/ACC Cardiac Risk Assessment protocol. Started Excel spreadsheet to contain patient data including starting risk score, labs, vitals and updated it every 30 days, for further research.

After 90 days, of clinic opening, cardiac risk decreased by 2.7%, in our cardiac patient population.

• Worked in tandem with diabetic educator to present community workshops on diabetes along with cardiology education including the effect heart disease has on diabetes,hypertension .

• Met weekly after clinic hours to present educational forums followed by quizzes to test for retention of knowledge. Had a monthly Diabetic dinner and workshop with lectures by both diabetic educator and myself.
