2016 – 2022 (Reduced to part time in 2018 then, afterwards perdiem position ) Returned to Tuscarora Health Clinic, Walmore and New Hope Rd. Lewiston, NY. FNP - Clinical Coordinator and principal provider of primary care to the American Indian population on the Tuscarora Reservation. Recent experience includes primary care throughout the life span, history and physicals, pre-op clearances, treating diabetic patients, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions, GI disorders, managing pain, treating anxiety and depressive disorders, tobacco cessation and recognition/treatment of addictions, primary care of infants and children, treatment of common skin disorders and wounds. I instituted a program at the clinic to prevent prescription substance abuse. I primarily work independently, with a collaborative physician on call.

2013 - 2016: Mercy Comprehensive Care Center, 397 Louisiana St, Buffalo, NY. FNP – Provide primary care to refugees from Somalia, Iraq, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal using translators (2013-15). Provided primary care to a diverse local community population, translators (2013-15). Provided primary care to a diverse local community population, including sick visits. Coordinated with Catholic Charities and other social organizations and area hospitals regarding high risk patients including children in poor condition. Advocated for patients to outside hospitals and agencies.

FNP - Performed physicals, prescribed medication and tests for both acute and chronic care of the elderly, care of acute situations, coordinated care with nursing staff, families, physicians and other disciplines, on call responsibility for numerous facilities for weekend rotations.

1994 - 2000: Visiting Nurses Association of Western New York - Case Manager in rural Niagara County, Tuscarora Indian Reservation, inner city of Niagara Falls, and the Towns of Lewiston, Niagara, Cambria and Porter. Additional training in wound care specialty. Conducted a seminar for Buffalo and Niagara County Nursing departments in new wound care methods which ultimately decreased medical costs. Performed extensive education of chronically ill individuals to prevent hospital admissions. Assumed on-call responsibility.
