A self motivated, apprentice trained Technician with a passion for Electrical Power Engineering. Waterfalls Depot is a customer service centre within ZETDC Harare region’s South District with a customer base of 22000 clients whose power demand is >120Mw. Reporting to the Senior Foreperson I am mandated to carry out the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Supervising artisan assistants in carrying out preventive and remedial maintenance and fault diagnosis on the power system as required by system conditions.

Attending to customer queries related to faults and new connections

Preparing maintenance reports and arranging shutdowns in accordance with the maintenance programme.

Arranging for material and human resources for fault diagnosis and repairs

Ensuring that power system projects conform with quality specifications and standards

Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Foreperson and Network Manager.

Responsibilities:

Construction and maintenance of mini substation for domestic and commercial consumers.

Carrying out fault location and rectification on the distribution network up to and including 33kV.

Training and mentoring post graduate trainees and apprentices.

Cable jointing and termination up to 33Kv

Promoting electrical safety as a senior authorised person.

Primary and secondary substation inspection and maintenance as well as generation of reports on tasks undertaken.

Compiling monthly statistics on vehicle usage and materials procurement.
