Objective
My goal is to secure a dynamic and challenging position in the field of Problem Gambling. I want to bes part of a team where I can continue my Advocacy and create solutions for those who have lost all hope of being whole again.
Skills & Abilities
I have been working in the addiction field for over 22 years with individuals that have gambling, alcohol, drug and domestic violence issues. I have developed and presented programs at numerous Problem Gambling Councils throughout the nation. As well as developed programs for use in the field.
Experience
March 2011 – June 2020
Community Outreach Manager, Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling
Created and presented programs on gambling, alcohol and drug addiction to community partners.
Worked to improve awareness on gambling and the impact of co-addictions.
Presented Gambling Program to the Commissioner of Corrections for implementation in Connecticut’s Correction Facilities and was granted approval.
Developed and implemented the Program on addiction including gambling quarterly to 11 of Connecticut’s Correction Facilities.
Worked with several State and Federal Judges as well as Attorneys to educate them on gambling addiction and how it is associated with drug, alcohol, domestic violence, and embezzlement issues.

Conducted presentations on addiction throughout the state of Connecticut.
Worked directly with clients to assist in finding jobs, housing, food, clothing, and essential basic needs. Helping them to become independent.
I was instrumental in starting the first of its kind gambling intervention group which ran on a weekly basis at York Correctional Facility.
Ran a 16-week Domestic Violence Program for Hartford Parole Board.
Incorporated Gambling Addiction into a Veteran Program at Rocky Hill Facility.

Case Manager, Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling and State Helpline
Worked the helpline 24/7, 365 days a year.
Talked with callers about their addiction and told them where they could find help.
Developed strong relationships with clients building trust and helping them work their programs.
Helped them in their journeys to overcome their addiction and rebuild family relationships and fit back into society.
Conducted presentations on addiction throughout the state of Connecticut.
