Turbine Details: M/S DOOSAN SKODA - Sub critical,Tandam compound, single cylinder, single Re-heat, condensing type Turbine. Steam Flow-551 TPH, Pressure-148 bar, Temperature-538 C

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for complete operation of Boiler and its Auxiliaries and monitoring the boiler

Field parameters during the shift.

Responsible for Cold/Hot/Warm start up, Normal Operation of 180MW Boiler and Turbine Section.

Responsible to ensure trouble free and smooth operation.

Handling Emergencies and avoiding unit trips by taking quick and correct action.

Safe operation and healthiness of Power plant equipments in Field.

Handling the emergency of the plant in both Boiler and Turbine in Field.

Responsible for ensuring safety related rules and regulations are followed in boiler and Auxiliaries.

Handling the Field Emergency and coordinating with the maintenance team during any equipment outage in boiler and Auxiliaries.

Reporting Shift Charge Engineer about boiler parameters, deviations and equipment conditions.

Successful completion of Boiler and its Auxiliaries namely Fuel Oil System, Air and Flue Gas System, Fuel Firing System, pulverizer system and soot blowing system.

Preparing Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Procedure, Protocols, Log Books, Permit to Work (PTW), Pre-Start up Safety review.

Successful completion Pre Commissioning and commissioning activities namely Chemical Cleaning, Boiler flushing, Hydro testing, steam blowing.

Co-ordinating for Successful completion of Synchronization of unit.

Maintaining Commissioning records, Reporting to Commissioning Manager about daily activities.

Maintaining isolation activities, tags, LOTO System and co-ordinating between Desk Engineers and Maintenance Team in PTWs.

Turbine Details: M/S BHEL - Cross compound, single cylinder, Air cooled, condensing type Turbine. Steam Flow-114 TPH, Pressure-84 bar, Temperature-520 C.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Worked as DCS Engineer in both Boiler and Turbine Section and have learnt about operational activities of power plant.

Efficient and Safe Startup of Boiler and Turbine operation, both hot and cold startup of Boiler and Turbine auxiliaries.

Ensuring safe and smooth operation of Boiler and turbine auxiliaries, along with load management in accordance with load demand and frequency fluctuations.

Immediately reporting malfunctioning equipment of abnormal readings/equipment performance to the supervisor and complete the appropriate records.

Performing troubleshooting and documentation and assist in the resolution of problems discovered during the shift.

Boiler MASTER FUEL TRIP Protection and Interlock Checking after unit under long breakdown.

Continuous follow up the Local condition of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument equipments.
