Geotechnical Engineer in Training Feb 2021 – Oct 2021 WSP (Golder Associates Ltd.) Mississauga, ON.

I am a site supervisor who is responsible for conducting daily safety meetings with a team of heavy machinery (drill rig) operator, operator helpers and traffic control crew each consisting of 3 or more members. Moreover, I am responsible for executing geotechnical investigation as planned by my project manager and other office coordinating crew.

● Conducting daily Safety tail gate meeting with driller and traffic control crew to make sure everyone understands project hazards and is aware of potential risks.

● Conducting Soil Penetration test on site and collecting soil samples from split spoon for further analysis in labs.

● Planning borehole locations and drilling machinery mobilization paths prior to drilling on site.

● Filing a daily borehole-log report classifying layers of soil that has been sampled as well as installing water wells to find water table beyond certain depths.

● Conducting both geotechnical and environmental sampling on site as requested by the project manager.

● Contact Ontario on Call to obtain locates for utilities such as gas, hydro, electricity, etc.

● Conducting and supervising private locates as well as daylighting activities including manual excavation and hydrovacing. Project Manager August 2019 – May 2020

Structural Capstone Project (University of Alberta) Edmonton, AB. Capstone project is a design project for a 540 2 two storey building with high-bay and parkade (University lab). The parkade floor, wall and ground floor slab must be reinforced concrete and main structure had to consist of two structural materials

(concrete, steel, timber and masonry)

● Coordinating project duties, meetings, and deadlines with group members.

● Conducting phone calls and emails to report new updates to the work schedule.

● Designing timber components including CLT panels, Glulam beams and columns according to CSA O86.

● Designing concrete components including slabs and columns according to CSA A23.3.
