for the shipping department.

Counselor III: ASAC, 4837 First Avenue SE, Suite 206, Cedar Rapids, IA: August 26, 2008 to January 10, 2018. Full-time Substance Abuse Counselor certified in the state of Iowa as an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) from March 1, 2010 to April 1, 2016. I conduct 6 hours of intensive outpatient group services a week in addition to an individual caseload of 30 clients on average per month for outpatient counseling. I also complete three assessments of court ordered evaluation of potential new clients referred to the agency per week.

Counselor II: CEC/Civigenics, Inc. at Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center, East St. Louis, IL: October 1, 2006 to August 24, 2008. Certified AODA in Illinois as CADC counselor from April 29, 2008 to April 29, 2016. Full-time Substance Abuse Counselor on Housing Unit 1 – Methamphetamine Unit to incarcerated clients. I conducted at least 15 hours of therapeutic recovery groups on a weekly basis entailing thinking errors, core skills, thinking reports, peer awareness and process groups. I also created treatment plans, assignments for plans, and DAP notes to document treatment progress. I staffed clients on my caseload to phase up treatment level advancement. I supervised the unit Peer Support Committee for clients where their peers tutor each other that were in need to improve their reading, math, and writing skills to pass the GED exams.

Provisional Counselor: Cornell Companies, Inc. at Southwestern Correctional Center, East

St. Louis, IL: Substance Abuse Counselor for Methamphetamine clients from September 5, 2006 to October 1, 2006 until Cornell Companies, Inc. lost its contract.

Correctional Officer: Iowa Medical and Classification Center, Oakdale, IA: July, 1996 to July 28, 2004. Sole unit officer for 96-bed reception living unit, supervising minimum and medium custody inmates for twenty-one months. Circulating Officer from 1998 to July 28, 2004. This circulating position entailed being the second officer for R, S, T, and V units that had only one officer assigned to each unit. It involved assisting the unit officers gather and coordinate inmates being evaluated by their counselors in work assignments, adjustment to institutional life, and level advancement.

Correctional Officer: Iowa Men's Reformatory, Anamosa, IA: January 5, 1996 to July 1996. I performed cell searches, inmate pat-downs, supervised inmates on their living units, administered inmate medication, conducted institutional counts, and secured various sectors of the institution.

Practicum Student of Correctional Counseling: Iowa Medical and Classification Center, Oakdale, IA: August to December, 1995. In this position I gained counseling skills and obtained criminology insight by performing reception interviews of newly admitted inmates to assess their needs of treatment programs and custody classification.

Certified by the Iowa Department of Corrections as a Domestic Abuse Batterer's Education Program Facilitator in the utilization of Duluth Model training, March, 1995.
