Ramp Agent

Ethiopian Airlines- June 2016 – February 2018

Directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft in accordance with safety policy and procedures.

Performing wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing from equipment in the path of pushback and maintaining visual contact with the pushback driver to alert the driver of any danger.

Lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transferring passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader or baggage carts in a safe manner and within specific time constraints.

Maintaining the safety and security of the ramp at all times and complies with safety procedures and station policies.

Reading and verifying the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags.

Assisting the customers with seat availability, gate announcements with regard to the boarding process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, managing and initiating the boarding process.

Scanning and loading carts for the ramp agents to pick up and unload planes. Junior Ramp Agent

Loaded, unloaded, serviced, guided, and directed Company Aircraft. Safeguarded Customers baggage, air cargo, air mail, and COMAT from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.

Handled all aspects of loading, stowing and unloading baggage, cargo airmail, air freight, ballast and company materials according to a predetermined plan received either electronically or manually from an Operations Agent.

Received and recorded Customer baggage, air freight, mail and company materials as required. Submitted, either electronically or manually, a Cargo Bin Loading Slip (CBLS) to an Operations Agent.

Picked up, delivered, and transported cargo and baggage to and from aircraft and prepared records in connection with these responsibilities.
