As a Mechanical Technician, I am dedicated in creating unique, software-driven solutions that solve clients’ most challenging problems using a combination of industry-standards and cutting- edge technologies.
During my years of experience, I have developed Mechanical solutions for a diverse clientele within the government sector. Among my accomplishments are achieving learning Software to drive designs to the client. I maintain a proven track record of maintaining consistency in producing a high level of quality in work delivered to clientele.
I take pride in the reputation earned as a motivational, influential leader and collaborator who guides team members in identifying, designing, and providing solutions as required to ensure projects are completed timeously whilst exceeding expectations. I gained my foundation experience within the Wet Services, more specifically within treatment of water. I worked in collaboration of other disciplines on multiple projects that enabled me to gain experience within software that produced general arrangements with supporting calculations for pump curves.
While engineering leans more to the automation side of generating designs I have experimented with configuring Python and Dynamo with REVIT 3D models of Pump stations to generate pipe schedules as well as equipment schedules. Also, I have enhanced client satisfaction by meeting with clients during the design process to ensure that the project is moved at a satisfactory pace all whilst improving client involvement.
Due to my passion of maintaining a good eye to detail as well as maintaining a standard of quality, I was chosen to manage the Quality Management system on projects I have worked on. I have utilized this position of leadership to mitigate redundancy within the Quality management system by introducing a filing convention to easily access all formats of designs, documentation and bring efficiency within the collaboration platforms.

I gained experience within the Tender Administration department which in turn has assisted in increasing the growth and profits reached within the company. I am considered a highly skilled coordinator within my discipline whilst working under pressure. I am currently a degree-seeking candidate at the University of South Africa. I currently hold a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering while majoring in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Machine design with the intention of completing an Advanced Diploma and Post-Graduate Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
As a part-time student, I have found that working whilst studying has proved to be quite beneficial as this promotes “putting theory into practice” which historically has proved to develop myself to be a more accurate and innovative Engineer.
As an out-of-the-box and analytical thinker, I am looking forward to joining a team that pushes creative limits to provide solutions to make a significant differences and optimize project outcomes. Sincerely yours,
Shannen Ramdeen
