OBJECTIVE:
ELECTRONICS / RF / MICROWAVE TECHNICIAN
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ten plus years’ experience as an RF Engineering/Electronics/Mission Technician working predominantly for aerospace and DoD contractors, most recently installing, testing and troubleshooting classified COMM and NAV software and defensive systems in Boeing’s KC-46 tanker at their Military Delivery Center flight line, after spending three plus years in charge of Boeing’s Antenna Impedance Lab.
Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic devices, RF/microwave components and antennas using state of the art test and measurement equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal/function generators, multimeters, calibration standards, test automation and data collection software and more
Assist engineers in the design and fabrication of engineering models, prototypes and test fixtures, referring to engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, sketches, or to written or verbal instructions
Set up and operate antenna pattern ranges and anechoic chambers for radiation pattern and radar cross section (RCS) measurements; make S-parameter measurements, VSWR, insertion loss, return loss measurements, interpret impedance presented via Smith chart
Participate in lightning, high intensity radiated fields (HIRF) and precipitation static susceptibility testing of aircraft
Perform fabrication, assembly, repair and alignment of complex electro-mechanical devices in the lab or field, familiar with machine shop capabilities, excellent soldering skills, proficient with power, pneumatic and hand tools
