This Dispatcher role is responsible for communicating the load plans to the drivers and customers. This includes making sure all customer requirements are met.

Responsible for communicating the load plan to drivers and customers.

Ensure the drivers have the proper instructions to perform their duties safely.

Listen to all driver concerns and act on them appropriately.

Ensure the Company meets all customer requirements, and any changes are communicated immediately.

Ensure the dispatch system is up to date.

Load Planner

Load Planner is the “go between” between CEVA’s needs in terms of service & load coverage and the carrier’s needs for their network and drivers. I have the responsibility to effectively negotiate market rates. I manage the external communication with the carrier of customer/company expectations and to qualify carriers against those expectations. I manage the carriers thru service failures and communicate to management concerning service failures. I will coordinate CEVA Fleet capacity with CEVA Fleet load planners to help drive CEVA Fleet utilization, this includes coordinating between carriers/brokerage/companies.

Sources capacity for CEVA Brokerage Loads and ensures that all CEVA’s service requirements are met by providing accurate and clear information to the carrier.

Maximizes CEVA margin by effectively negotiating with carriers.

Negotiates as needed in order to secure loads that benefit CEVA’s Fleet.

Demonstrate Industry understanding of TL Capacity and Rates. Continually refreshing knowledge using CEVA’s load history and industry changes and available tools.

Be knowledgeable of DOT standards regarding Truckload Operation procedures (Hours of Service, General Loading/Unloading practices and claims handling.

Identify, qualify and secure new carriers in accordance with CEVA’s carrier policy.

Primary point of contact for all escalation or service failures on loads until resolution. This will include providing after hours support as needed.

Provide pricing assistance and other support for any other duties as assigned by Mgmt.

Be available after normal business hours to handle calls, emails and requests for updates.

Actively engage new carriers to on-board and grow carrier base.

Actively post available loads to external load boards such as DAT and ITS.
