Technical Competence
As Work Crew Foreman, perform and lead assigned (20+) personnel in the performance of repair and maintenance work at navigation and flood control projects
Oversee daily operations of Electricians, Mechanics, Welders and Machinists on the LCF
Set and maintain the pace of work to optimize production while minimizing fatigue and safety issues
Ensure work is completed per specifications and in a professional manner
Explain what tasks are to be done by assigned employees and how they are to be accomplished if necessary
Make recommendations to the supervisor on equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete the assigned work
Lead or personally carry out the more complex repair tasks in field maintenance activities which require application of journeyman skills, in a wide variety of trades and crafts
Determine modification and/or machine requirements for major repair and/or overhaul of maintenance on navigation and flood control equipment
Provide input and review critical lift plans for feasibility based on changing site conditions and personnel assigned
Serve as a competent rigger, signal person, crane operator and deckhand

Follow all prescribed rules and regulations set forth by management
Report to work on time
Contact immediate supervisor prior to the start of shift to request unscheduled leave
Annual leave shall be request by employee and approved by supervisor via an OPM 71 in advance of requested leave being taken
