Duties and Responsibility: Civil Engineer

Review Plans, specifications, codes, shop drawings, submittals, procedure & reports.

Provide overall management of the site, working with the team/contracts team to successfully complete the project in time, within budget to the required standard.

Assist the Planning Engineer/QC and programming the works from the specification and requirements.

Setting out the works in accordance with the drawings and specification.

Liaising with the Planning Engineer regarding construction Schedule programmed.

Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements.

Resolving technical issues with employer’s representatives.

Contribute to the operation of the QC on project site by preparing and implementing components of QC plans and Procedures according to Company QC procedures.

Controlling the documents such as IFC drawings, Project Specifications, ITP, Material approvals and Method statements Copy at site.

Establish Quality Inspection Test Plan (ITP), QVD based on project scope of work.

Review IFC drawings and identify Hold & Witness point for the client as per the approved ITP’s.

Conducting regular Site Surveillance and giving verbal instruction or advice for site observations.

Issuing internal site instruction/observations and non-compliance reports for site observations to the sub-contractors and site construction team.

Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.

Generating IR (Inspection Request) and Implementing Inspections as per approved ITP.

Implementing Mockup Prior to commencement of any work as per Project Specification.

Verifying survey reports, material transmittal and approval documents for the attachment of Inspection Request (IR) for all completed works as per project requirements.

Verifying the calibration certificates for all tools used in the test as per projects & ensure calibration.

Conducting internal inspection for all construction works and review all completed works to ensure all works as per approved method statements and Project Specifications.

Inspecting internally and Ensuring all the materials received at site/store are as per approved requirements & Material Test certificates meets project specifications.

Arranging Inspection with client for store/site received materials for approval and acceptance of client.

Ensure Log Book Entry is properly maintained/ update & follow-up outstanding test reports/IR.

Maintaining all laboratory test results, survey reports, material transmittal, material approval, and concrete placement records as per project and client requirements.
