Environmental Protection Specialist, Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Environmental Management System (EMS) Representative, GS-11/ 0028 Provide technical advice on all environmental matters relating to Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste, source reduction, and environmental compliance, using advanced knowledge of environmental rules and regulations, standards, and available technologies, gained in part through extensive field work among diverse stakeholders. Collaborate in the development and implementation of environmental management policies and procedures for the organization to ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and Best Management Practices. Review and prepare documentation covering Hazardous Waste characterization, storage, and shipment to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations. Contracting Officer Representative (COR), collaborating in Hazardous Waste disposal contract scoping, contractor/site assessment, negotiating, Contractor oversight, and contract management.
