I was given the opportunity to work for Woolworths Phangela Group as a front desk receptionist.

It has been my goal to obtain new knowledge and hence my exposure to the management of WWHO including our workforce in the retail environment, it has been hugely beneficial. My role at the WWHO front desks has enabled me to understand the different teams and departments on campus. I desire nothing more than to bring value to the Woolworths brand. Fortunately I have a good working knowledge with computers having studied the subject and passing with great marks.

The Phangela Group is a South African owned black economic enterprise compliant company that offers a diverse range of services. The company has been a strong presence in South Africa since 2000 and has since been driven by a mission to provide innovative security and staffing solutions to a range of industries and clients. They have been serving WWHO and the WW DC for 4years.

I am currently responsible for a variety of duties across the WWHO campus. (5 Corporation, CTC House, Corner House, Atlantic House, Main House)

I am responsible for the daily management of:

●Liaising with clients, staff and visitors verbally, telephonically and via E-mail.

●Managing incoming client related calls and transferring them to responsible departments/call centers.

●Familiarizing myself with staff / clients / contractors.

●Conflict handling, ensuring that all situations are handled professionally.

●Liaising with Top Management PA’s.

●Taking minutes for the client.

●Assisting with any additional admin duties.

●Assisting Woolworths Food department with Oracle, PeopleSoft and Local Travel.

●Assisting with management duties in the absence of management.

I can be found regularly reading up about different career paths and courses to take to increase my knowledge. Throughout my school years I participated in most of the sports as I wanted to know about all of them but my main sport was Softball.
