Hired in as a project manager/estimator/salesman, was promoted to Regional Manager after about 5 years and then eventually worked my way into a partial ownership position. I was ultimately responsible for every facet of the business. From the hiring to the firing. The marketing of new customers, the bidding/estimating of project costs, the securing of contracts, procurement of building materials/equipment, dealing with subcontractors/owners/associations/governments/universities/ DOT work and most of all general contractors. Although quality and safety are every one’s responsibility as the Regional Manager/Part Owner I always was ultimately responsible. As a result, we had a great safety record for all the years I was in charge of the Minnesota Office. I had multiple project managers, estimators, administrators, salesman, superintendents, foreman, warehouse personal, union tradesman, etc. I was ultimately responsible for managing the entire Minnesota operation. At times I had over 100 employees.
