Tax Reporting & Cost Basis Analysis

●My primary responsibility for this brokerage firm was analyzing each Client’s 1099 for accuracy in reporting and amending returns when necessary. Additionally, the recent Cost Basis regulations that were finalized in October 2010 required that cost basis be reflected on all securities transactions that started in 2011, for which I analyzed data and corporate actions to ensure that cost basis information was carried over correctly on behalf of our Clients for IRS reporting purposes.
