Managed calibration lab. Coordinated third-party calibration activities, maintained calibration databases and files, and reviewed certifications. Performed more than 100 in-house calibrations of calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc., per year.

Saved $10,000 per year by purchasing standards and performing in-house calibrations. Saved $1,500 per year and improved turnaround time by changing to more responsive outsourced calibration lab.

Managed receiving inspections of all components, fabricated parts, labels, and materials. Coordinated/prioritized inspection activity to support Operations, Purchasing, Planning, and Engineering departments. 50- 200 separate items per month on average.

Measured incoming and in-process parts, performed First Article inspections, using Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Pin Gages, Surface Plates, Optical Comparators, etc.

Conducted testing: electrical safety, light output, sound level, ESD, spectrometer, durometer hardness, airflow, etc.

Performed product audits and compiled audit reports. Products included digital scales, phototherapy lights, procedure lamps, pasteurizers, cerebral function monitors, brain-cooling devices (Cool Caps).

Trained inspectors on receiving inspections, parts measurements, product audits, audit reports.

Used standard sampling plans, corrective and preventative action plans, and root cause analysis to improve processes.

Final approval on all new specification drawings. Issued Engineering Change Requests, and approved Engineering Change Orders.

Material Review Board member. With other department members, processed noncompliant parts, including reports, inventory adjustments, and disposition actions (rework, scrap, return to vendor, etc.) Conducted CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities; reports, investigations and resolutions.

FDA Class III experience (cGMP). ISO 9001 experience. Company designated CSA Audit representative, quarterly audits.

Assembled, fabricated, tested medical equipment: pasteurizers and washers for respiratory therapy equipment.
