I was enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1990 to 1994. My last duty station was aboard the USS Samuel Gompers (AD 37). For my last 3 years of service I was tasked to a flexible hose shop. Manufacturing and testing of various hoses in size and pressure and fluids. Anywhere from water to oils and air to Halon. Very familiar with the Aeroquip hoses and fittings. Dealt a little with the Parker brands. Mostly dealt with threaded fittings very little compression but willing to learn. I have also skived hoses and have also worked with Teflon hoses as well.
