PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ICU, PICU, NICU
1.Provide appropriate nursing care to critically ill patients
2.Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
3.Monitors patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
4.Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms Gives parenteral and oral medications.
5.Administers infusion therapy, including: IV fluids, antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, electrolytes
6.Gives feeding thru OGT, NGT and PEG
7.Performs Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
8.Preparing and titration of different kind of drips and monitoring of patients receiving drips (Dopamine drip, Dobutamine drip, Epinephrine drip, Norepinephrine drip, Isoket drip, Propofol drip, etc.)
9.Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators, Infusion pump and syringe pump
10.Reporting of abnormal findings to attending physician, if warranted
11.Assists treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations
12.Provides education, information and emotional support to the patient’s family and caregivers
