Counterfeit Technician (This is a federal job)
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
I examine and classify counterfeit currency; knowledge of theories and practices of counterfeit analysis; I process and close counterfeit investigative cases; ensure accounting practices are upheld; oversee the pathways students when assisting with counterfeit to ensure everything is completed in a timely manner. I provide administrative support and implementation to include financial, billing, training, audit and inspection, evidence and inventory controls, record management, and human resource management. I also communicate with headquarters by email and conference calls on issues related to new procedures.
I am responsible for all counterfeit and yearly audits/counterfeit destruction per headquarters guidelines. I process all law enforcement counterfeit notes to include entering on a 1544 (Evidence Form), Memorandum, Certificate of Destruction and submit to headquarters. I traveled to Washington, D.C. during 2019 for 2 week assignments to assist with the backlog of counterfeit duties.
My duties include the Annual Property Inventory (API), I completed the yearly office 2020 API with 100% accountability; completed the 2019 yearly Office Inspection for Property with 100% accountability; I process the office Timecards every pay period, ensuring all related scheduled overtime is posted accurately, and attaching all official messages to each timecard for inspection purposes; I am responsible for SA Monthlies in MARS, ensuring each one is submitted and certified each month with the correct hours.
I am responsible for the government Fleet credit card for processing and verifying fleet maintenance card transactions, which also have to be validated in the TOPS system for approval and accountability every month.
I am responsible for Travel Advances for office personnel when submitting documentation for receiving funds to pay for their travel; responsible for Reimbursements for employees when submitting the necessary receipts when purchasing government items eligible for reimbursement.
