WORK EXPERIENCE
SMALLHOLDER COMMERCIAL FARMER (2016- PRESENT)
As commercial farmer, I am majoring in crop production and I have experience in a number of crop projects including, coffee, banana, beans, maize, cassava, watermelon, tomatoes and a variety of green vegetables. However, I also have educational and subsistence knowledge on farm animal management.

Designing general production plans by setting easily achievable and highly profitable objectives and targets
Overseeing all functioning of the farm and delegate tasks to farm hands and ensuring that all the work is moving in line with stated objectives and general production plan.

Understanding most crop diseases, for example blights, leaf spots, mosaic, among others and knowing the appropriate control remedies.
Gained knowledge on mode of action and active ingredients of most fungicides ie contact or systemic, active ingredients including; mancozeb metalaxyl azoxystrobin,tebuconazole, copper among others.
Knowledge on different insect’s attacks and their appropriate insecticides.
Understanding different crop nutrient requirements and stages of growth when they needed in high amounts.
Understanding different types of soil and soil environments in relationship different crops or crop varieties.
