Vendor development engineer at Empereal-KGDS Renewable Energy Private Limited. Empereal-KGDS Renewable Energy (P) ltd., (Empereal-KGDS) is a leader in research and development of Concentrated Solar Thermal Power (CSP) generation, Biomass processing and Thermal Desalination technology since early 2008. Empereal-KGDS designs, develops and implements projects for Solar Thermal plants; Biomass based power plants, Water desalination plants and Thermal storage solutions Major Roles & Responsibilities:

Planning for material requirements and budgets in discussion with the Engineering and Project Management teams

Floating inquiries for goods and services in coordination with engineering teams

Preparing comparison statements

Selection of suppliers for placing orders in accordance with approved purchasing strategies

Negotiating with the suppliers for best possible supply terms and pricing

Timely issuance of POs to vendors, follow-up for order confirmation and co- ordination for on time payment to suppliers

Coordinating with vendors for delivery status of the materials

Maintain good communication with cross functions & suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

Leading the Fabrication team for design and development fabrication facility and development of semi-automated mirror cleaning mechanism

Cost & Manpower Estimation, fabrication planning and scheduling. Vendor identification/selection

Co-ordination with Material procurement, quality verification and outsourced fabrication activities

Packing and forwarding of the all the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping components to the project site using 40 feet open top container

Ensuring all the safety related items during the transportation of the fragile materials like reflector glasses secondary concentrators, Operating stations and electronics components.

Supervision of fabrication works, quality assurance/testing, packing and forwarding to the project site

Study & analysis of various mechanical components corrosion &/ erosions by salty wind, and rough weather condition

Selection and testing of anti-corrosive and various surface protective coast in- order to improve the life span of components

Implantation of surface protection for all the mechanical components with selective Epoxy based anti-corrosive paints

Supervision of fabrication activities of Reflector and receiver components

Carryout scheduled Annual maintenance of various mechanical components in the solar thermal desalination plant

Documentation of various activities carried out, budgets, cost estimation, procurement, vendor selection

Arrangement of necessary tools, equipment, machineries and manpower to carry out the work

Skills:

Software skills : AUTO CAD, Uni Graphics (NX-6), Microsoft Office packages Management skills : Project co-ordination, scheduling, cost-estimation Fabrication skills : Manpower and Material management, Vendor co- ordination
