Due to Covid19 crisis, I have been working since 2019 as a freelance Supervising Electrical Engineer for local housing G+1, G+2 buildings in a village Kavali, A.P, INDIA. Each Construction took around 8 months to a year. I strongly believe, where "Quality fails, there the Safety fails too". Quality could be an aspect of Design, Engineering, Supervision, Material, Method statement and Workmanship.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

Supervising the earthing & bonding system right from the civil foundation. Providing the earthing provision for steel structure, Non- Current carrying metals like door/window frames, Switchboxes, Distribution Boards etc.

Making sure, embedded conduits in wall are properly covered with chicken mesh so that it wouldn't form cracks/bulge after plastering. Conduit, junction boxes sharp edges/burrs were properly removed to avoid wire damages. Helped with material saving in Plumbing works. Unnecessary cutting and excess usage of couplers, elbows, T-joints and through joints were avoided. Ensured every circuit carry a earth wire until equipment. Proper wire/cable dressing at DB's ensured. Spare and Space concept almost applied wherever applicable.

Supervising shortest conduit routing, making sure circuit breakers, Power & Lighting circuits were not overloaded and sized correctly. Also, switchboard & power plugs installed according to building codes. Interior/furniture arrangements were considered lighting and small power i.e conformable to modern living style. Luminaries were selected based on application and room type. Split AC's selection and fixing locations were decided based on window/door positions for better performance.

Assistance provided in availing single phase power supply connection from EB.

Since May'2019, one Independent house and two G+2 building constructions were only handled with a local pity contractors.
