SUMMARY

As a results-driven, detail-oriented, and inquisitive computer specialist, I have finely honed interpersonal and time management skills. I have utilized a multitude of skills to successfully operate, secure, and maintain networks ranging from small business to the DoD enterprise-level. I consistently strive to increase productivity and achieve any information technology goals and objectives. I am well-rounded with a background in all layers of the OSI model of computing.

I served 10 years in the U.S. Army and continue to utilize the tools learned in my daily life. During my service I deployed to Afghanistan and became acquainted with diverse cultural contexts. I honed inter-cultural understanding and competencies. I am currently employed by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) supporting the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) contracted to the 10th Communications Squadron at the Comm Focal Point. My family has recently decided to relocate to Orlando Florida where I am currently looking for open full-time positions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

General Dynamics Information Technology (USAFA) – July 2019 - Current

In July of 2019 I began working for GDIT for the 10th Comm Squadron Comm Focal Point. I am currently providing communications support for the 10th Communications Squadron on the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA).

Assisted the CFP lead as part of a support center team functioning as the single point of contact for 10th Communication Squadron customers.

Received communication equipment trouble calls over the phone, through email, or multiple ticketing systems; and assigned work-order tickets to the applicable work center across multiple networks.

Assisted with updating all 10th Communications Squadron scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, entered data into multiple government-provided databases. These databases include but are not limited to; Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS), Cherwell, Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), SharePoint, and BMC Remedy.

Utilized Microsoft Office products to manage workflow.

Performed User account management/OU control/GPO management using Active Directory.

Responsible for 10th Communications Squadron base announcements.

Provided on-call/after-hours support as defined in the performance work statement (PWS).

Telesis (FDA) – February 2014 – June 2019

In 2014 I began work for Telesis. The company was contracted by the FDA to support investigators and Consumer Safety Officers with any FDA applications they used.

Tested, implemented, and provided support for several proprietary applications used by investigators.

Provided support for over 5,000 users by phone, email, and online submissions by using multiple ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Remedy.

Designed and fine-tuned multiple knowledge bases used by the company for training and guidance.

Utilized remote administration tools on end user systems daily to troubleshoot errors and provide guidance and training on basic application usage.

DAVetTechs (690 NSS) – June 2013 – November 2013

In June of 2013 I was contracted by DAVetTechs for the US Air Force 690th NSS Det 3 at the Enterprise level.

Managed 10,000+ end user accounts/GPO enforcement/OU creation utilizing Active Directory.

Assisted an average of 50 users a day with problems such as: Active Directory based User/Organization/Group account management, Microsoft Office 365 and MS Exchange, all makes and models of printers, and TCP/IP configurations for VM based systems.

Remotely installed software/drivers for various peripherals and printers.

Deployed SCCM patches using Patch Connect Plus and enforced compliance with GPO configurations.

United States Army October 2007 – 2017

After joining the U.S. Army, I was trained in communications with the designation 25U, the role for the communications expert. I obtained as much experience as I could with the Battalion (300+ users) Command Post Module (BnCPN); Joint network node (JNN); Secure/Unsecure communications; Brigade level (3000+) end-user troubleshooting; and network level administration. While serving I expanded my knowledge of computer technology, management, and most importantly, common sense. I completed my service and separated from the US Army in September of 2017.

Moderate Experience with VHF/UHF SINCGARS, AN-PRC-117, and many more radio systems.
