(Hamilton is owned by legendary realty developer, Harold Brown) and avoided its critical business closure by eviction. This was a successful business project other than interpreting services. In this project, language & communication skills were critically utilized. 2. Community Service (Part Time): Served as Secretary and Board Director for the Chinese Assist in management improvement and financial restructuring of the organization. In 2013, Simon Chan successfully engineered a refinance initiative for a CCBA affordable housing property to secure a federally guaranteed mortgage loan (HUD FHA-223 loan program). The new mortgage (5.6 million loan size) had reduced the housing project’s annual mortgage interest rate from 8.40% to 3.89%, thus vastly improved the project’s financial position.
