Led planning operations and guided later phases of construction projects while adhering to project quality standards. Drafted and submitted project schedules to the contractor for approval and made adjustments to ensure on time, on budget completion. Collaborated with colleagues in the Project Cost Department to develop comprehensive cost and labor hour calculations.

Key Achievements:

Beginning in 2011, compiled and analyzed data to determine project requirements prior to building schedules and determining resource loads to ensure successful plant commissioning in 2013.

Developed a complete planning system for six buildings that integrated WBS, operations, codes, resources, and logic.

Senior Underground Mine Planner, 2004 to 2011

Initiated frequent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration with Safety Health and Environment, Mine Engineering, Geology, and Mine Captains. Applied Geology (Mine Reserve) and Mine Engineering (Mining Design) expertise and estimated rock support type and quantity. This included compiling fill quantity and placement, ventilation, electrical, and de-watering estimates that required deep expertise in sumps, length of pipe, drills, blasts, muck, blast holes, long holes, and cut & fill mining.

Key Achievements:

Played a key role in the success of the Fraser Mine Project from the engineering phase through to completion of operations.

Dedicated one week per month over one year to successfully implement a planning system at the Grande Cache Coal Mine in Grand Cache, Alberta.
