LEAD PLANT OPERATOR/MECHANIC (GAS SEPERATION SPECIALIST), AERA ENERGY LLC

During my 10+ years with a major oil company I have been tasked with running well strings, DEHY’S (Heavy oil plants), Vapor recovery units, and soft Water plants. Currently for the last 8 years I have been the subject matter expert at a gas plant that takes sour gas from the field and converts to elemental sulfur. Gas is directly oxidized to elemental sulfur through reaction with aqueous ferric iron. Chelating agents are used to increase the solubility of iron in the operating solution. Using steam generators as part of my job I send waste gas mixed with clean gas as fuel to create steam to use for oil recovery. During my years with Aera I have helped create an Internal operating permit working with Core EHS in which the gas plant is governed by. Staying in compliance with all government agencies to include the DOGGR and OSHA has been part of my job scope. My day to day job includes using a computer based system to monitor the health of the plant, create preventative maintenance orders using SAP, manage contracting crew’s activity at the plant, ensure contractors are using safe work practices and complying with all company rules and regulations. Pump maintenance and troubleshooting equipment is part of my job scope. Shut downs and turnarounds from start to finish using an incident command system are part of my responsibility’s. I also participate in all required safety based training to include HAZWOPER/HAZCOM/Confined space entry and many others. Over the last 12 years I have worked 12hr rotational work to include overtime and holidays. JUNE 2005 – APRIL 2007

My job description was well logging in both oil and water wells to include geophysical logging, inspection, swage repair, rejuvenation, and the destruction of water wells. Traveling out of state for jobs, using safe work practices, Trouble shooting equipment as needed, and rigging up to location was all part of my job scope.
