As a Lead Engineer I need to travel yearly once in UK and USA for new projects and I involved in Installation, Integration, Commissioning and Acceptance testing of SDH Transport Equipment for STM-1, STM-4, STM-16 fiber rings from Vendor.
• Managing and co-coordinating with interdepartments so as to facilitate site planning and equipment installation.
• Maintenance of SDH FOT (SAGEM). Maintenance takes into account regular check-up of SDH FOT to ensure healthy status of the cards.
• Testing the network status via the EMS in India and reporting the same to the Zonal HQ on daily basis. Testing involves Tributary Loopback, Aggregate Loopback and BER Testing in the link.
• Observing & clearing of alarms in case of its appearance on the equipment on daily basis, which are detected on the EMS
• Clock Monitoring via SDH Analyzer to ensure that the equipments are synchronized to the highest available clock component, based on the clock hierarchy theory.
• Trouble shooting of Transmission equipments in the event of fault. Analysis of Fault and preparation of report on the failure.
• Planning and Execution of OFC network and in building connectivity.
• Daily check up of loss in the fibers in the route and analysis of the same.
