Sphiwe is a dedicated Underground Miner with 6 years experience at Khutala Colliery. He has for several times acted as a shiftboss including being the first miner at 2 Seam East to be chosen to act as the day shift Supervisor (shiftboss) which carries the responsibilities of being the senior section Supervisor for all three shifts, attending daily production meetings with the leadership, organizing material and monthly production planning for the section. His excellence has been recognized by being the first trainee to be nominated to compete for the Dealers competition and a year later to become the Dealer of the year while working for the Ridge Casino. He has successfully led and managed the underground sections and achieved great production results in return.
