Although IT Support was not my job title, every employee knew that they could come to me (through my immediate superior, of course) with their “computer problems” and have them resolved quickly, and without drama.

I have found that no matter the user’s level of computer knowledge, patience with the user and knowledge of the system involved is key to resolving the issue quickly and with a minimum of disruption.

Regardless of a particular employee’s knowledge, my understanding of the problem and the ability to convey complex information in a simple, understandable way result in the desired outcome.
