WORK EXPERIENCE
1.Group Technical services and Projects manager (Golden Reef Mining P/L ) (September 2018 to Date)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate mining projects implementation with major concentration on Ruia CIL plant and Heap leach pad construction projects.
Liase with government agencies, business promoters and local stake holders with regard to project/business expansion matters to ensure legal compliance and smooth implementation.
Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams within the Group to enable them develop, implement and evaluate mining plans and budgets aimed at improving performance standards and organisational efficiency.
Oversee the production rates to assess the effectiveness of mine operations in the group.
To be involved in finding solutions to problematic areas within the mining and production value chain at the different mining operations.
Innovate and come up with initiatives to reduce cost and increase mine production.
Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of technical staff against set targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at building capacity of individuals and teams.
2.Mine Manager- Ruia Mine (Open pit-Heap leach project, Golden Reef Mining P/L) (August 2015 to September 2018)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure and maintain safety, health and environmental standards to required statutory levels
Prepare an annual heap leach pad stacking plan in liaison with mining and Metallurgical department to meet the year’s strategic guidelines.
Develop an achievement and execution plan considering the operational site requirements.
Ensure management of cost and optimization of the total value chain.
Proactively manage all obstacles to ensure maximum opportunity to achieve planned goals.
Set clear objectives and goals for the team to achieve targeted production levels.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to ensure constant awareness of performance achievements
Conduct regular communication and progress update meetings to ensure synergy across the mining operation.
Supervise hired equipment for the mining process.
Prepare and produce daily, monthly and annual analytical mining and production reports
Ensure the mining team drives the achievement of their functional objective through effective management of their teams in conjunction with identified processes, policies and operational principals.
Maintain the responsibility for delivering production targets and for driving continuous improvement plan across the business
Liaise with government authorities on all statutory issues that are to do with mine processes and production.

Mining labour planning and production scheduling.
Preparation of monthly mining budget and putting in place cost control measures.
Coordination of activities for the mining operation.
