Sahara Medical College Narowal is a PMC registered non-government Medical College having attached hospital Sughra Shafi Medical Complex (SSMC) Narowal. SSMC is recognized by Pakistan medical commission for house job training and by college of physician and surgeon Pakistan for post graduate training As a senior registrar in Paeds Medicine I teach undergraduate students, interns and, postgraduate students. I also see patients in OPD, do rounds of NICU, PICU and Paeds ward

Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital Sialkot (Jan 2015 to June 2018) Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (FCPS Paeds Medicine) is a 4 Years training program with rotations to different sub-specialties. Involves mandatory workshops, journal clubs and research work. This is a structured training program and a mandatory log-book of complete tenure is maintained. It involves gradual shifting of responsibilities to the trainee. Some of which are listed below.
In A&E, I worked as a middle grade doctor.
I managed all types of pediatric emergencies like status epileptics, status asthmatics, status epileptics, stroke, upper GI bleed, poisoning, diarrhea and dehydration, panic attacks, hypoglycemia & hyperglycemia, pneumonia and meningitis.
In ward, apart from doing ordinary tasks like daily ward rounds and morning meetings, I took keen interest in case presentations and journal clubs.
While working in outpatient clinic, I managed follow-up and new cases of medicine.
During my post-graduation, I polished my clinical skills and applied them to the patient care. I am competent in:
History taking and carrying out clinical examinations.
Performing routine clinical procedures like blood sampling (both arterial and venous), IV cannulation, nasogastric intubation & gastric lavage.
Doing urinary catheterization, bladder wash, ascetic and pleural tap. Lumbar puncture, Endotracheal intubation, Central venous line and dialysis catheter insertion (both peritoneal and hemodialysis).
Interpretation of chest x-rays, ABGs & ECGs.
Ventilator operations and comprehension of its settings & operations.
Managing PICU patients who are critically ill.
Basic surgical skills like aseptic wound dressing, removing chest and abdominal drains, skin suturing, wound debridement and management of trauma patients.
