Job Description:

Review designs, recommended changes in the designs according to the need in the sits, execution Concrete footing foundation, walls, columns, and flat slabs, laying out nets of water connections,sewer connections, gas connections, land scoping, main roads, and street construction, using all modern technology in execution, material, equipment and finishing.

Conduct meetings with prospective contractors with the consultants to outline the proposed project.

Resolve questions that arise as part of the contract award process.

Ensure prompt submission and approval of proposed materials and methods, progress schedule and project cost breakdown. Also check for all necessary work permits before the start of contract.

Supervise daily work activities and ensure compliance with contract specifications, codes and safety standards. Also review daily inspector’s report, monthly progress reports and review periodic partial payments, review lab reports and quality control, review all testing results.

I followed various laboratory tests for soil like compaction tests for layers as per specification like(cone penetration test, plate load test and nuclear gauge) and also tests for soil classification and subsurface exploration and sampling .

I followed concrete tests like slump test for workability of concrete and taking samples in special cylinders and cured until testing compreesive strength of concrete after 7,14 and 28 days.

Closely monitor project’s progress and take necessary action to correct any delays if needed.

Review contractor’s claim or disputed work including change orders and make recommendations as appropriate action.

Conduct periodic meeting with contractor to review progress of contract.

Perform final inspection and testing of new systems/ items and prepare punch list for any corrective action needed.

Prepare contractor evaluation and forward to Central office for future reviews.

Inform and review an assistant’s work to verify compliance and contracts.

Negotiate terms of agreement, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.

Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.

Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.

Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
